Second-class citizen

I feel Norwegian and I’m a Norwegian citizen. That makes no difference to Israeli authorities. To them I’m just a Palestinian.

I have lived in Norway since 1993 and this year I celebrate 20 years as a Norwegian citizen. I was born in Gaza but have lived more than half of my life in Norway.

I am thinking Norwegian, I am dreaming Norwegian and I belong to Norway more than any other place in the world. I carry Norwegian values and Norwegian culture. I am married and have three kids at ages five, eight and nine years. All of them are of course Norwegian citizens and pupils in Norwegian schools.

As a Norwegian citizen I can travel the world. One exception is: The country I was born in and my mother and father both was born and buried in ~ Gaza. To get there should Israel consider me as Norwegian but Israel does not.

Don’t respect the Norwegian passport

The Israeli government demands that they originally come from, i.e. born in Gaza or the West Bank, must travel with the Palestinian passports from the PA, and will never be able to travel to or pass through Israel. We are not protected by our Norwegian passport. Consequently this means that my kids and I don’t not get to travel to Gaza.

Norwegian authorities allows Israel rank and discriminate Norwegian citizens, whereas every Israeli can travel freely into and out of Norway.

“I have a Norwegian passport, and like Norwegian citizen I can travel around the world, apart from Gaza. Israel do not show respect my Norwegian passport, but consider me and my children Palestinian “, the writer of the chronicle informs. Israel is the only country in the world that dismiss my Norwegian passport and degrades the Norwegian authority’s decision that I am Norwegian.

My mother and my children’s grandmother lived almost her whole life in Gaza and have experienced several wars, but we have not been allowed to see her in ten years. On the second day in 2016she passed away.

Denied entry

My children never got to meet their grandmother. My family and I were not permitted to participate in her funeral. Why? Because Israel rise above Norwegian authority and international law to ensure that I and my family never get into Gaza.

It causes me outright discomfort meet my child’s eyes and listen to questions about Grandma, of why they never got to meet her. It hurts not being allowed to say goodbye to my Mum, a pain being unable to attend the funeral.

A man from Palestine loves his mother just as much as a western man. Palestinian parents loves their children just as much as western parents. That’s why they fight From the blog: 10 Guarda la Galleria “Vittorio Fera arrestato in Cisgiordania”

Causes you outright discomfort meet my child’s eyes and listen to questions about Grandma, of why they never got to meet her. It hurts not being allowed to say goodbye to my Mum, a pain being unable to attend the funeral.

However, it hurts my feelings, almost more that Norway acknowledge that Israel are abusing me this way. Norwegian authority allows the Israeli government sort and discriminating against Norwegian citizens who, whereas any Israelis get to travel freely in and out of Norway.

The Demoted Citizenship

Why don’t the Norwegian authority speak out and fight for my rights? Why do my nation’s leader allow other this ONE COUNTRY to treat me as a Norwegian citizen with lower rank then the rest of my nation’s society?

Israeli government is the only country in the world that dismiss my Norwegian passport.

Instead of my nation’s leader reacting to Israel’s discrimination against Norwegian nationals Palestinians on the contrary got the right to retain their Palestinian passport when granted Norwegian nationality. This is just assisting Israelis to repress Norwegian citizens more after a Norwegian with Palestinian origin is “freed”.

I ask the Government to stop this unfair treatment and not allow any country to weaken pride of being “Norwegian citizen.”

  1. this is just crazy Im going to follow up what is happening in Palestine. In Poland are many people who secretly feel outrage by the situation in which is Plestine. With right thuinking Palestine can be much better that now. International support can change this situation.
